I have been working on my Throne on my spare time. I have not had as much as I would like, but that will change soon! My goal is still to be integrated in a 3D company, and I want to do everything I can do achieve it. Here are the maps I painted for my Throne.
I did an exercise today to get me warmed up in ZBrush. I modeled a low poly rock in maya, and made the normal map in ZBrush. I used the same diffuse texture that I made from my game study project. Here is the result!
Here is my render of the "Windy" scene I worked on. The sequence is based on a concept art by Fathom Interactive's "Sky Pirates of Neo Terra". I modeled, textured and lit everything myself. I only used the concept for a rough guide to the final look (concept is below the video). The grass is made with paint effects and turbulence. Everything was done in Maya and Photoshop. The only thing from After Effects is the foggy effect, which is a ramp.

This is a WIP Im making now, on a scene based on a concept art by Fathom Interactive, this is a scene in Neo Eden, on the Windy Hills. I painted all the elements myself, modeled it in Maya and rendered with Mental Ray. Top image is my work, bottom image is the concept. I still need to add the grass, and I will also animate it to bring it to life.
I made a metal texture today. I followed an online tutorial, but created my own design, I am pretty happy with the results. Everything is hand painted in Photoshop, I used layer masks, layer styles, filters, and custom brushes. I made it as a 512 texture, to conform to the needs of the game industry to save memory.
